What contaminants does the Model 1 remove from tap water?

The AquaTru Pro Model 1, has been certified by a 3rd party to NSF standards for the reduction of 84 different contaminants including lead, chlorine, fluoride, forever chemicals  (PFOA + PFOS), nitrates, arsenic, and microplastics, for the entire life of the filters.

Do I need a professional plumber for installation?

For the warranty to apply, this product must be installed by a licensed plumber.

What maintenance does the Model 1 require?

Maintenance involves filter replacements. Filters use quarter-turn cartridges that can be replaced in under a minute. No tools or plumbing adjustments are needed for regular maintenance.

What is the life span of the filters?

  • Pre/Carbon Filter: Every 6 months or 1200 gallons
  • Reverse Osmosis Filter: Every 2 years or 2400 gallons
  • VOC Filter: Every 12 months or 1200 gallons

What is the flow rate?

The flow rate is 0.8 gallons per minute.
