What contaminants does AquaTru Pro remove?

We have two different types of units: freestanding multistage reverse osmosis water coolers and wall-mounted 2-stage water coolers. 

The Freestanding units, Model 1 & Model 3, have been certified by a 3rd party to NSF standards for the reduction of 84 different contaminants including lead, chlorine, fluoride, "forever chemicals" (PFOA + PFOS), nitrates, arsenic, and microplastics, for the entire life of the filters.  

The On-Wall units have been certified by a third party for the reduction of lead, chlorine, chloramine, microplastics, forever chemicals (PFOA + PFOS), and cysts.

What is AquaTru Pro’s Multi-Stage Ultra Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology?

Our AquaTru Pro Freestanding Models 1 & 3 use a multi-stage filtration process to remove contaminants down to 0.0001 microns:

  • Mechanical Pre-Filter: Traps sediment and rust.
  • Activated Carbon Filter: Reduces chlorine, odors, and VOCs.
  • Reverse Osmosis Membrane: Removes heavy metals and fluoride
  • VOC/Carbon Final Filter: Removes VOCs, microplastics, “forever chemicals” (PFOA + PFOS), and polishes the water for improved taste and purity.

Our multi-stage RO system (Models 1 & 3 only) is certified to NSF standards and delivers cleaner, better-tasting water than single-stage or carbon-only filters.

What is the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) reduction rate?

Our freestanding RO systems (Model 1 & 3) have an average TDS reduction rate higher than 90% as certified by IAPMO R&T. 

The AquaTru Pro On-Wall units are not intended and do not reduce TDS.

Can I use AquaTru Pro with well water or hard water?

Yes, however, hard water may impact product life and filter performance. If you exceed the specifications in the product manual, you may need to change filters more frequently.
